S. Lanier Flanders
Associate
Lanier is an associate in the litigation practice group at Andersen, Tate, & Carr. Her practice covers a variety of matters, including general civil litigation, real estate, business, and contract disputes in state and federal courts across Georgia. She also represents property owners in eminent domain and disputed zoning matters. Prior to joining the firm, Lanier worked at a metro Atlanta insurance defense firm, where she litigated general liability and personal injury matters, and has experience at all stages of litigation, including a jury trial.
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Lanier obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history from Rhodes College. Before law school, Lanier worked for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, she continued her studies and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Lanier was published in and served on the Editorial Board for the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law. She was also a member of the Moot Court Team, and participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Billing, Exum, and Fyre Moot. Additionally, she served as a Russell Chair on the Moot Court Executive Board and was a member of the E. Wycliffe Orr, Sr. American Inn of Court.
Lanier is a member of the Gwinnett County Bar and the Cobb County Bar Associations. She attends Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and enjoys running and traveling in her spare time.
